Coronavirus in Cambridge: An Open Letter
We’re all in it together and we’re facing a tough year as we march onwards through 2020 (reboot anyone?) Keep calm and wash your hands…
We’re hoping that you’ve not run out of toilet rolls due to the crazy hoarding that’s been going on and that you’ve got a few meals planned with some fresh ingredients as well as those bags of pasta and rice!
We’ve moved to the next level of action in minimising the Coronavirus risks. This means that we need to look carefully at our business and to take onboard the government advice.
We envisioned our business within the latest guidelines. This includes everything from our team helping people on and off the boat, to our customers that may sit within a 2 metre radius of strangers on our shared tours. In these tricky times we found we could not justify keeping our tour experiences running nor risk putting our team on the streets.
Here at Rutherford’s for the immediate future, we’ve chosen to suspend our punting tours and as such our business is on hold.
We have closed our tour services and will only reopen when we are advised that is safe. We’re watching the situation closely and will update our website as soon as there is news.
Our team is working remotely from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, 7 days a week. Please get in touch with us to discuss your options or with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the high level of enquiries and daily changes to the global situation please allow at least 24 hours for us to get back to you.
These are challenging times for all in the tourism sector. We ask that as a part of humankind that we do what we do best – STAY HOME to defeat the common enemy: Death to Coronavirus!
We’re looking forward to opening after the crisis so that our customers can enjoy a fantastic mental health break in the great outdoors and see the prestigious College Backs.

Are you open?
No, our tour experiences are not running for the foreseeable future. Please get in touch at email@example.com if you have bookings planned for the near future or an unused shared tour ticket.
We will reschedule your private punting experience for a safer and better time as suitable. Alternatively, we’ll be offering the choice of a full credit note for the value of your booking or a refund as appropriate.
If you have an unused shared punting experience tickets, we are offering ticket extensions. If you purchased the tickets through a third party, for example TripAdvisor or Get Your Guide, please contact them directly as their terms may differ.
