If you’re feeling intrepid and love all things Halloween, join us for 45 scary minutes on Cambridge’s very own river Stix. Dare to board our Halloween Ghost Punting Tours in Cambridge and hear the city’s most sinister and spookiest tales.

Your tour lasts for 45 spooky minutes, taking you through the haunted College Backs. Our guides will excite and scare you with eerie and bizarre stories of all things weird and wonderful.

Hide from the ghouls and goblins beneath our toasty blankets as you tour the borders of this world and the next with our luxurious hot chocolate to keep you warm – divine! Dare you try these spooky Rutherford’s tours?

Ghostly Punting Information

Our 45 minute private ghostly punting tours are bookable in advance and will be waiting for you at your preferred time. Head directly to our Jesus Green Moorings just 2 minutes along the boardwalk from the Quayside to begin your journey on the Cambridge Stix – your ferryman will be set up and awaiting you.

Our spooky tours can be booked throughout the day. Boats have a maximum of 6 or a maximum of 12 passengers. For last minute bookings, please contact our Bookings Team directly on 01223 322200.

Both our boats and our employees will be dressed for the weather on the day. If it’s sunny and warm, there will be no hot water bottles or umbrellas and your guide may even be wearing a waistcoat! Alternatively, on cooler autumnal days, your guide will wear a professional coat and your boat will be equipped with umbrellas, snuggly blankets and hot water bottles. This is the likely attire for our spookiest of tours of the darkest ghost stories that Cambridge has to offer. 

What to do if you’re running late? Your private booking will be held for you for 15 minutes, after this point it wouldn’t be possible to go on the tour as this would mean missing our later bookings. Please call us the moment you know of any delays to your schedule and we’ll try to organise things to accommodate you.
