Choose our shared punting tours of Cambridge to see the world-famous College Backs. This option is the most cost effective for those looking to travel on a shoestring budget.
Join us for our VisitEngland Rose Marque tour. You’ll travel by punt up and down 1 mile (1.6km) of outrageous beauty on one of our classic Cambridge wooden boats.
Our guides will entertain you with Cambridge’s fascinating history as you see the sublime University of Cambridge buildings, elite bridges and private gardens that are only visible from the river.
Your expert chauffeur will take you along the river on a classic shared punt, dressed with cushions and blankets* with adapted lumbar supports* for comfort.
If you’re looking to experience this unique side of Cambridge for less, our shared tour is the best option for those on a budget. For the best savings, book online before you head to the river. These punting prices beat anything that you’ll find on the day.
Each week we’ll be releasing punting offer codes for those that wish to tour with us at quieter times during the week – Monday to Friday.
*Summer 2020: Your guide will be wearing PPE as per the latest guidelines. Tours are temporarily without our usual blankets and lumbar supports so that our boats and cushions are fully cleaned in between each tour. If you’d prefer extra precautions on your tour as an at risk member of society, please get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org.
The evolution of our shared punting tour tickets is now for socially-distanced punt seats as appropriate for the number of people in your party.
Each row comfortably seats up to three people. Walk-up tickets are no longer available and instead you’ll be booking in for a date and time.
Your social distancing is maintained from any other customers on the boat through a clear perspex screen, installed to separate the rows on the punt whilst maintaining visibility on your tour.
On the day, head to the Rutherford’s unmanned desk on Jesus Green – nearest our Jesus Green Moorings, just 2 minutes along the Quayside Boardwalk, CB5 8AB.
As you’d expect, our team will call you to the moorings once social distancing is assured so that you can safely board your boat.
April to June: 9.30am – 5.00pm
July & August: 9.30am – 9.00pm
September: 9.30am – 5.00pm
October to March: 10.00am – 3.00pm
If you have an unused walk-up shared punting tickets (for our original shared tours), please get in touch at email@example.com as they can no longer be used due to social distancing requirements.
Our shared tour tickets have been reimagined in the light of recent government advice. Your ticket is now for an entire seated row, protected by a perspex screen from others.
Book your tour online ahead of your visit for the day and time that suits you best – Our shared punting tour prices are for up to 2 people, up to 4 people or up to 6 people.
If you are planning on punting with another household or support bubble, we recommend booking a private punting tour to ensure that you will be on the same boat, and then giving us a call so that we can ensure that the perspex screen is in place.
On the day, head to our unmanned desk on the corner of Jesus Green, nearest our Jesus Green Moorings. Our will call you over once the moorings are free for you to board your punting tour safely.
See you on the river!
Please don’t travel on the day if you or anyone in your household or support bubble have COVID-19 symptoms, a temperature or cough, or if you fall into the guidelines for a 14 day quarantine period for any other reason (for example, you have been contacted by the government’s Track & Trace or you have recently returned to the UK).
In this or similar situations, please follow the government guidance and self-isolate. Call us as soon as possible or by 9am on the day of your booking. We will reschedule your booking or issue you a full refund.
