The UK’s favourite review platform, TripAdvisor, was founded in 2000 as a place where people could rate restaurants using a star system. Since then it has grown to include hotels, general city features, consumer facing businesses and all manner of tourist attractions.
In recent years it has become an essential resource within tourism across the UK, with many customers preferring to check out reviews prior to booking.
Within the punting sector especially, it’s an important place to achieve strong online presence. A good or bad ranking can make or break a punting company. TripAdvisor has become so integral to punting in Cambridge, that it features on the first page for most of the top punting related searches on the web.
Rutherford’s TripAdvisor Win
As the newest official punting company in Cambridge, we have had to work hard to prove their worth and catch up with companies that had been around since the foundations of TripAdvisor.
We began our journey with an honest approach and several innovations from lumbar supports to tour training. We’ve added a focus on accreditations for our tours and as well as a team dedicated to our brand and focused on customer experience.
We have worked steadily over our 1 year and 11 months of existence to grow a strong team and to develop incredible customer experience.
Excitingly, as a result of our work we have (earlier this month) claimed the crown as No.1 TripAdvisor for outdoor activities in our beautiful city. Hurrah!
We realise that these things are a perpetual battle, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We’ve got strong plans a foot to ensure that we maintain our lead through high quality honest service and a genuine experience.
